The St. Mary’s team tennis program, the newest athletic program, is a great opportunity for 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls to have fun, learn teamwork and challenge their athletic abilities. The tennis season begins mid-February and runs through mid-April.
At St. Mary's, tennis is all about the team and learning to play as a team. We try to help our players understand that a successful team requires a great deal of time and dedication and that each student is a member of the team family.
Athletes are expected to attend all practices and athletic contests for their sport throughout the season. A student who is absent from school or considered absent is not eligible to participate in either practice or a game on the day of the absence. Students are expected to place academic commitment above athletic participation, and must maintain passing grades in all subjects to be eligible to play. Grades are checked at mid-nine weeks and at the full nine-week point. Students participating in sports are expected to represent the school with pride and grace as they compete..
A physical examination form must be completed and approved by your doctor before your child can participate in any sport activity. For more information about the St. Mary’s tennis program, contact Athletic Director, Rick Loth at rloth@stmarysmail.com.
